22 However, I say to you that everyone who continues wrathful with his brother will be accountable to the court of justice; and whoever addresses his brother with an unspeakable word of contempt will be accountable to the Supreme Court; whereas whoever says, ‘You despicable fool!’ will be liable to the fiery Ge·henʹna.

29 If, now, your right eye is making you stumble, tear it out and throw it away from you. For it is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be pitched into Ge·henʹna.

Just let your word ‘Yes’ mean yes, your ‘No,’ no, for what goes beyond these is from the wicked one.*
Or possibly, “from what is wicked.”

“No one can slave for two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stick to the one and despise the other. You cannot slave for God and for Riches.
(Matt. 6:31-33)

22 Many will say to me in that day: ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and expel demons in your name, and perform many powerful works* in your name?’

23 And then I will declare to them: ‘I never knew* you! Get away from me, you workers of lawlessness!’

7 He said to him: “When I get there, I will cure him.”

8 The army officer replied: “Sir, I am not worthy to have you come under my roof, but just say the word and my servant will be healed.

9 For I too am a man under authority, having soldiers under me, and I say to this one, ‘Go!’ and he goes, and to another, ‘Come!’ and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this!’ and he does it.”
10 Ẹmwẹ na keghi wa yan Jesu unu rua vbe ọ họẹn, ọ keghi tama iran ni lelẹe khian wẹẹ, “I ma he miẹn ọmwa nọ mwẹ iyayi vbenian vbe avbe emwa Izrẹl.
10 When Jesus heard that, he was amazed and said to those following him: “I tell you the truth, with no one in Israel have I found so great a faith.

(Matt. 9:35-38)

And Jesus set out on a tour of all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the good news of the Kingdom and curing every sort of disease and every sort of infirmity.

36 On seeing the crowds, he felt pity for them, because they were skinned and thrown about like sheep without a shepherd.

37 Then he said to his disciples: “Yes, the harvest is great, but the workers are few.

38 Therefore, beg the Master of the harvest to send out workers into his harvest.”

8 Still others fell on the fine soil, and they began to yield fruit, this one 100 times more, that one 60, the other 30.

While going up to Jerusalem, Jesus took the
12 disciples aside privately and said to them on the road:
18 “Look! We are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes. They will condemn him to death

Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and to give his life as a ransom in exchange for many.”

31 But the crowd rebuked them, telling them to keep silent; yet they cried all the louder, saying: “Lord, have mercy on us, Son of David!”
32 Jesu keghi mudia, ọ ke tie iran, ọ nọ iran wẹẹ, “Vbe uwa hoo ne I ru ne uwa?”
32 So Jesus stopped, called them, and said: “What do you want me to do for you?”
33 Iran wanniẹn wẹẹ, “Ma hoo ne u rhan ima aro.”
33 They said to him: “Lord, let our eyes be opened.”

34 Moved with pity, Jesus touched their eyes, and immediately they recovered their sight, and they followed him.

This is why I say to you, the Kingdom of God will be taken from you and be given to a nation producing its fruits.

So they sent their disciples to him, together with party followers of Herod, saying: “Teacher, we know you are truthful and teach the way of God in truth, and you do not seek anyone’s favor, for you do not look at the outward appearance of people.

17 Tell us, then, what do you think? Is it lawful* to pay head tax to Caesar or not?”
18. Sokpan Jesu wa rẹn ehe ne iran ghae yi, rhunmwuda ọnii, ọ wanniẹn tama iran wẹẹ, “Wa ni zẹ imamase, vbọzẹe ne uwa na ho mwẹ ẹmwẹ ne unu?
18 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said: “Why do you put me to the test, hypocrites?
Or “right.”
(Matt. 22:17)
Tama ima vbene ọ ye he vbe ekhọe uwẹ. Ma gha zẹ igho uhunmwu gie Nọgbaisi e Rom, a ghẹ ru nọ, ra ẹi re a ghẹ ru?”
Tell us, then, what do you think? Is it lawful* to pay head tax to Caesar or not?”

“Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you travel over sea and dry land to make one proselyte, and when he becomes one, you make him a subject for Ge·henʹna twice as much so as yourselves.

While he was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples approached him privately, saying: “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your presence and of the conclusion of the system of things?”

“Then people will hand you over to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name.

For as they were in those days before the Flood, eating and drinking, men marrying and women being given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark,

39 and they took no note until the Flood came and swept them all away, so the presence of the Son of man will be.

44 On this account, you too prove yourselves ready, because the Son of man is coming at an hour that you do not think to be it.

“Who really is the faithful and discreet slave whom his master appointed over his domestics, to give them their food at the proper time?
(Matt. 25:21)

3 Then the chief priests and the elders of the people gathered in the courtyard of the high priest, who was named Caʹia·phas,

4 and they conspired together to seize* Jesus by cunning* and to kill him.

15 and said: “What will you give me to betray him to you?” They stipulated to him

16 So from then on, he kept looking for a good opportunity to betray him.
30 silver pieces.
(Matt. 26:17-19)

On the first day of the Unleavened Bread, the disciples came to Jesus, saying: “Where do you want us to prepare for you to eat the Passover?”

18 He said: “Go into the city to So-and-so and say to him, ‘The Teacher says: “My appointed time is near; I will celebrate the Passover with my disciples at your home.”’”

19 So the disciples did as Jesus instructed them and prepared for the Passover.

27 Ọ keghi vbe mu ukpu, ọ na kpọnmwẹ Osanobua, ọ keghi mu ne iran, ọ wẹẹ, “Wa hia feẹrẹ, dae.
28 Ọna ẹre ọ mudia ye esagiẹn mwẹ ne I ya gu uwa ta ile, ne I khian vbe da kua ne emwa nibun mieke na miẹn ayabọ orukhọ.
(Matt. 26:26-28)
As they continued eating, Jesus took a loaf, and after saying a blessing, he broke it, and giving it to the disciples, he said: “Take, eat. This means my body.”
27 And taking a cup, he offered thanks and gave it to them, saying: “Drink out of it, all of you,
28 for this means my ‘blood of the covenant,’ which is to be poured out in behalf of many for forgiveness of sins.
(Matt. 26:36)

Then Jesus came with them to the spot called Geth·semʹa·ne, and he said to the disciples: “Sit down here while I go over there and pray.”

Then he said to them: “I am deeply grieved, even to death. Stay here and keep on the watch with me.”

And going a little way forward, he fell facedown, praying: “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me. Yet, not as I will, but as you will.”
(Matt. 26:42)

Again, a second time, he went off and prayed: “My Father, if it is not possible for this to pass away unless I drink it, let your will take place.”

Get up, let us go. Look! My betrayer has drawn near.”

Then Jesus said to him: “Return your sword to its place, for all those who take up the sword will perish by the sword.

53 Or do you think that I cannot appeal to my Father to supply me at this moment more than

Then the high priest ripped his outer garments, saying: “He has blasphemed! What further need do we have of witnesses? See! Now you have heard the blasphemy.

66 What is your opinion?” They answered: “He deserves to die.”

Jesu keghi mudia ye odaro Nọkhaemwisẹ ne ọ gha nọ rẹn ọta. Irẹn keghi nọ Jesu wẹẹ, “Wẹ ọrọre ọba avbe Ju ra?” Jesu wanniẹn tama rẹn wẹẹ, “Erriọ u khare.”
Jesus now stood before the governor, and the governor put the question to him: “Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus replied: “You yourself say it.”
12 Sokpan ọ ma zẹdẹ guan kaẹn ifi ẹzọ ne avbe igie ohẹn kevbe ediọn ba ẹre re.
12 But while he was being accused by the chief priests and elders, he made no answer.
13 Rhunmwuda ọnii Pailet tama rẹn wẹẹ, “Wẹ ma họn ifi ẹzọ ne iran ba ruẹ re na?”
13 Then Pilate said to him: “Do you not hear how many things they are testifying against you?”
14 Sokpan Jesu ma rhie ewanniẹn ye ifi ẹmwẹ ọkpa kẹkan sẹrriọ ne unu na yan Nọkhaemwisẹ.
14 But he did not answer him, no, not a word, so that the governor was very surprised.

The next day, which was after the Preparation, the chief priests and the Pharisees gathered together before Pilate,
63 Iran tama rẹn wẹẹ, “Dọmọ o, ma yerre wẹẹ ẹghẹ ne ọhọnhoghe nii na rre agbọn, ọ tae wẹẹ, ‘A gha huẹn mwe kpaegbe vbe iyeke ikpẹdẹ eha.’
63 saying: “Sir, we recall what that impostor said while he was still alive, ‘After three days I am to be raised up.’
64 Rhunmwuda ọni, yi iyi ne emwa ya gha khe idin nii ọ te ya se ikpẹdẹ eha, ne avbe erhuanegbe ghẹ miẹn ehe na ya do ikun ẹnrẹn mu, ne iran vbe ya gha wewe ẹre ma emwa hia wẹẹ, ‘A huẹn ẹnrẹn kpaegbe vbe orinmwi.’ Ohoghe ne okiekie ghi do khọọ sẹ ne okaro.”
64 Therefore, command that the grave be made secure until the third day, so that his disciples may not come and steal him and say to the people, ‘He was raised up from the dead!’ Then this last deception will be worse than the first.”
65 E Pailet tama iran wẹẹ, “Wa viọ emwa ni khẹ odẹ ne uwa ya gha khẹ idin ni vbene uwa setin ru ẹre sẹ.”
65 Pilate said to them: “You may have a guard. Go make it as secure as you know how.”
66 Rhunmwuda ọni, iran keghi kpa, iran na ya ru ẹmwẹ idin nii gbua vbekpa ne iran na ya ama ye okuta nii, iran na vbe zẹ emwa yọ ne iran gha khẹ ọre.
66 So they went and made the grave secure by sealing the stone and posting a guard.

Wa bu emwa hia gha rrie ehe hia ne uwa ya gha ya iran khian erhuanegbe mwẹ, wa gha [dinmwi iran ye amẹ, NW] vbe Eni ọghe Erha, kevbe Ọmọ kevbe ọghe orhiọn nọhuanrẹn.
Go, therefore, and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit,
20 Wa maa iran ẹre ne iran gha yin zẹvbe ne I yi ẹre iyi ne uwa. Wa yerre wẹẹ, I gha gu uwa gha rrọọ vbe ẹghẹ hia rhinrin ya sẹ ufomwẹ agbọn.”
20 Wa ma iran ọre ne iran gha yin zẹ vbene I yi ọre iyi ne uwa. Wa yerre wẹ I gha gu uwa gha rrọọ vbe ẹghẹ hia rhinrin ya sẹ ufomwẹ agbọn.”
20 teaching them to observe all the things I have commanded you. And look! I am with you all the days until the conclusion of the system of things.”
